Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Production Planner Job Location: Orlando, Florida Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Aerojet-Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Production Planner at our Orlando, FL location. This role plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Advises management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers. Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions. Essential Functions:

Under moderate supervision, coordinates production control activities such as production scheduling, stockroom operations, purchase requisitions, tool control/maintenance and material requirements planning. Coordinates the development and implementation of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) activities. Identifies and communicates concerns and issues with potential scheduling impacts. Works with the team to develop solutions to minimize the impact. Relays information to the team members and management. Monitors procurement activities to ensure conformance to established schedule. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant Production Planning/Scheduling experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills:

Knowledge of material and production control in a manufacturing environment. Strong working experience with production-related databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; relational databases such as Access and DBase. Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience a plus. Prefer experience in the implementation of MRP/ERP systems in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge using Microsoft Word and Excel. Problem solving ability and written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with government standards and specifications.
