The Product Manager plays a strategic role in driving product and portfolio growth within the Micro-Coax business unit. This position is responsible for leading product line strategy, managing lifecycle activities, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver innovative solutions that meet market needs. Acting as the voice of the customer, the Product Manager translates insights into actionable plans, supports go-to-market execution, and ensures alignment with business objectives, profitability targets, and quality standards.
Customer Insights & Market Intelligence
Serve as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback and translating insights into actionable product enhancements and new product development opportunities.
Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to inform product strategy and positioning.
Maintain a comprehensive list of customer and market requirements and rationalize product lines to maximize market penetration.
Create and maintain competitor analysis materials to inform strategic decisions.
Identify strategic partnership opportunities to expand product offerings.
Sales & Marketing Collaboration
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies, sales tools, and promotional materials that support product launches and portfolio growth.
Create and execute the vision, business plan, and go-to-market strategies for product expansion in partnership with Sales and Marketing.
Support Sales and Marketing initiatives to achieve business objectives.
Support Sales and BDM teams in customer engagement, relationship building, and identifying product needs to drive business growth.
Develop marketing strategies and content for product portfolios, including presentations, samples, and collateral.
Provide internal training on product applications and features as needed.
Business Development & Sales
Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers’ representatives, direct sales teams, and field sales personnel to support business development.
Drive growth by developing new customer opportunities while sustaining the existing product line business base.
Assist with demand forecasting to reduce lead times and improve material liability coverage.
Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
Monitor product performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction; recommend improvements or product rationalization as needed.
Oversee day-to-day progress of Product, Pricing, Positioning, and Placement in coordination with BDMs and Applications Engineers.
Partner with BDMs, Sales, and Marketing to manage portfolio P&L, drive product solutions, optimize pricing strategies, and enhance value propositions to meet revenue and profitability targets.
Lead cost and pricing strategy development by analyzing product and portfolio dynamics, supporting value engineering and cost reduction initiatives, and negotiating pricing.
Estimate profitability by product segment and release to support strategic planning.
New Product Development & Launch Execution
Collaborate with New Product Development teams to manage the product pipeline and oversee project execution for successful, on-time product launches.
Lead product line strategy and coordinate efforts across R&D, manufacturing, and engineering to address market needs and introduce new capabilities.
Cross-Functional Planning & Compliance
Support the development of marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans in collaboration with cross-functional leaders.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
Other duties as required in support of the department and the company.

Qualifications Education And Experience
B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in a similar technical or engineering support role.
RF/Microwave Interconnect experience preferred.
Language Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Job Skills
Experience in wire, cable, and interconnect technologies required; RF and microwave experience is preferred.
Proven experience in a technical role involving direct customer interaction, ideally with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on active listening and clear technical documentation.
Responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a fast-paced environment.
Solid understanding of transmission line theory and microwave engineering principles to include electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing/industrial engineering disciplines.
Hands-on experience with RF products and applications; familiarity with RF/microwave components used in subsystems is highly desirable.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, professional journals, and relevant government regulations.
Skilled in writing technical protocols, reports, and presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Capable of interpreting and executing instructions delivered in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
