The Clinical Supervisor, LCSW is a member of the program's leadership team and is primarily responsible for the clinical supervision and professional development of licensed staff providing treatment in the clinic. They are also responsible for implementation and oversight of evidence-based or innovative clinical services or models of care. The Clinical Supervisor, LCSW ensures clients receive timely access to quality clinical services, including during crises; oversees functions to support the program’s clinical operations; and ensures program compliance with Federal, State, and City regulatory bodies, CARF and funding entities. Responsibilities
Clinical Services: Develop and provision evidence-based or new clinical services or models of care to meet the clinical needs of individuals, families, and communities served. Identify gaps in clinical services at the program level and develop potential solutions to fill the gaps. Lead the implementation of evidence-based treatment or oversee innovative models of care, in partnership with The Jewish Board’s training department and/or external agencies. Ensure all assigned staff maintain an active caseload size as defined by clinic executive leadership and maximize time providing direct care to clients. Teach, assess, and monitor skills such as timely notes, time management, and organizational skills; develop clinician competency to provide individual, group, and family therapy. Teach person-centered treatment planning and ensure treatment planning is interdisciplinary and client-driven. Keep written supervisory notes up to date and reflective of clinician strengths and areas for improvement; provide direct services to clients as needed, including intakes and crisis interventions. Develop strategies to ensure timely access to care and increased engagement in care; supervise crisis intervention services; implement quality improvement initiatives. Participate in quality assurance activities such as chart reviews and utilization management; integrate recovery, rehabilitation, treatment, and vocational components of the program. Monitor and follow up on program incidents; supervise clinicians with a combined caseload of up to 350 clients. Personnel: Ensure appropriate staffing to support clinical care; participate in hiring and orientation of new staff; complete performance appraisals; address performance concerns; conduct or participate in staff training and development; monitor staff attendance and vacation scheduling; supervise staff as appropriate to licensure. Administrative Functions and Program Operations: As part of the leadership team, ensure program operations are efficient and compliant with relevant regulatory entities and fiscally viable. Facilitate team meetings and case conferences; monitor billing and address fiscal or billing issues; identify and develop systems to improve program operations; may serve as back up to the Director or other supervisors as needed. Requirements
Master's degree in social work or mental health counseling and New York State clinical licensure in social work (LCSW) or mental health counseling (LMHC-DP). Solid clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices. Prior experience in DBT, Trauma Focused CBT, EMDR preferred but not required. Excellent organizational, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Experience working with electronic medical records and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Work Environment
Hybrid work setting. Position entails a combination of in-person and remote work. Allocation of time and locations to be developed in collaboration with the Senior Program Director and based on program and client needs.
