Overview
Pediatrician Opportunity, Akron Children's Pediatrics (ACP) North Canton North Canton, Ohio Akron Children's has a family-focused atmosphere with a culture of collaboration among colleagues, staff, patients, and their families. This outpatient opportunity is based in the North Canton practice of 5 pediatricians and 2 nurse practitioners, with flexibility for part-time or full-time physicians to support work/life balance. The practice is part of the Akron Children's North Canton Health Center, bringing together pediatric primary care, multiple specialty care practices, and rehabilitation services in one location. This position is outpatient with after-hours calls and Saturday office hours shared between providers. Calls are screened by an after-hours nurse triage line, handling more than 90% of calls. This established practice welcomes new graduates or experienced providers to join and contribute to ongoing growth. This position is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the federal government. Our offices follow standard hospital-based policies while retaining the local culture of each practice. Physicians use EPIC as the electronic health record system. Primary care offices are PCMH certified. The Patient-Centered Medical Home model emphasizes patient-centered care, strong relationships, improved quality, patient experience, staff satisfaction, and cost reduction.
