A Brief Overview Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies by performing the following duties.
Experience Qualifications 1 year Experience in nuclear medicine or a related field. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications Radiography - ARRT Required Licensed Radiology Technologist (LRT) - KSBHA Required Drivers License - DMV Current Valid Driver’s License and Clean MVR with 3-year baseline and annual MVR review. Required Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days of hire. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technlongist - NMTCB Preferred
What you will do Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of Physician. Calibrates equipment. Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by Physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ. Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors. Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of Physician. Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials. Performs venipuncture for injections. Provides services in a prompt manner at times convenient for the customers. Understands and practices patient confidentiality. Provides a positive image to customers by creating a friendly atmosphere and placing a high priority on meeting customer needs in a courteous manner. Demonstrates proper use of equipment, time, and supplies in efforts to control costs. Demonstrates an openness to change through suggestions and constructive criticism. Willingly accepts various work assignments. Is accountable and responsible for own actions/decisions. Contributes to a team atmosphere by demonstrating excellent communication skills, taking initiative to perform needed tasks, and being flexible to go beyond normal expectations to meet the needs of others.
