SHIFTS: 2nd shift (3p-11p)
REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing (DON) and Administrator
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and services to the residents of Twin Lakes Community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain RN or LPN licensure.
Initiate and implement comprehensive nursing care to residents of the healthcare facility; may provide care to Independent and Assisted Living residents. Respond to or follow up on emergency calls as required.
Administer medications and treatments according to written physician orders, policies, procedures, and care plans.
Monitor, observe, and accurately record nursing care and services provided to the resident and the resident’s response.
Be knowledgeable in and comply with infection control procedures. Initiate precautionary or isolation infection control procedures when appropriate and report these measures to supervision.
Monitor accuracy and completeness of physician orders and notify physicians regarding changes in residents’ conditions.
Provide counseling to residents’ families as needed and refer specific problems to the appropriate TLC employees as necessary.
Complete all necessary documentation on residents and ensure all proper documentation is either sent or retrieved if resident moves from one level of care to another.
Oversee and be responsible for care and services provided by LPNs and CNAs.
Adhere to all organizational, departmental, and nursing procedures in performance of position responsibilities.
May be required to perform other duties in keeping with the nature of this position which will not significantly alter the job requirements.
Certificates, licenses, registrations:
Maintain RN or LPN license
Flu vaccine mandatory (or may engage in interactive process)
