Position Title: Captain/Paramedic

Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue is now accepting applications for the position of Captain/Paramedic. Positions are regular, full-time and represented by IAFF Local 3650. We operate on a 48/96 shift schedule. This selection process will establish an eligibility list and fill one immediate vacancy. Completion of the following items is required to be considered for employment:

Completion of the FireTEAM Exam

NTN personal history questionnaire

Upload relevant certifications, resume and cover letter to NTN site

Successful completion of CPAT within the last 12 months or CRRF&R internal physical ability course may be available upon request.

Salary Information: $58,340 – $72,331 (DOE)

Minimum Qualifications:

Oregon Paramedic License upon appointment

Associate’s degree

Valid Driver’s License

Three (3) years’ experience as a career (paid full-time) firefighter/paramedic in a combination or career department

NFPA Firefighter II

NFPA Fire & Emergency Services Instructor

NFPA Fire Apparatus Equipped with a Fire Pump (Pumper Operator)

NWCG Wildland Firefighter Type I

Ability to obtain NFPA Fire Officer I within 6 months of hire

Ability to obtain NWCG Single Resource Boss/Engine and NFPA Rope Rescue Operations within 12 months of hire

Successfully complete and pass the National Testing Network (NTN) process:

FireTEAM Exam

NTN Personal History Questionnaire

Successful completion of CPAT within the last 12 monthsCRRF&R internal physical ability course may be available upon request.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a company officer supervising career and volunteer positions

NFPA Fire Officer II

NFPA Wildland Fire Apparatus Operator

NFPA Mobile Water Supply (Tender) Operations

NFPA Fire & Emergency Services Instructor II or higher

NFPA Rope Rescue Technician Level

NWCG Strike Team – Engine or Task Force Leader
