Classification Public Health Nursing Supervisor
Salary Range Salary negotiable based on level of qualification
Description of Duties The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day activities of clinic services provided at Wilkes Health including supervision of clinical employees which are Advanced Practice Providers, Social Workers, Registered Nurses, Medical and Clinical Assistants, Laboratory employees and contract staff. Position works closely with other leadership team members, clinic providers, and others to implement a patient centered medical home approach to care and clinic services. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. Degree in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation, four years of Public Health Nursing experience including one year of experience in a supervisory capacity; or graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing, five years of professional nursing experience four of which must have been in public health including one year of experience in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Special Qualifications Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in N.C. by the N.C. Board of Nursing.
Work Schedule Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with staggered lunch hour
Occasionally, begin work as early as 8:00 a.m. and work as late as 7:00 p.m. in special health clinics.
