Chesterfield, MO, United States (On-site) Contract (3 months) Published 4 months ago CLOSED glp Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Samples Sample Logistics Apps Laboratory environment **Job Summary** In line with the global strategy and business objectives of Bayer Crop Science worldwide, including Field Solutions NA, we are seeking a dedicated individual to manage the efficient and accurate global distribution of samples to various external and internal customers. This role plays a crucial part in evaluating NA and Global Development studies to support new and re-registration of BCS products. Responsibilities - Processing Sample Orders via the Sample Logistics Apps. - Preparing Sample Orders for shipping and attaching appropriate SDS(s). - Scanning each sample order and its samples for packaging into shipping containers, completing the shipping process according to IATA and/or DOT regulations, and filing the shipping documents. - Assisting in completing international shipments and communicating shipping details. - Physically conducting and reconciling sample inventories (current, bulk, and GLP) in the Sample Logistics Apps. Creating Excel inventory reports. - Receiving packages for the Sample Logistics team and maintaining accurate records for future references. - Maintaining the archive Certificate of Analysis for GLP samples. - Overseeing the restricted GLP cage area where GLP samples are maintained and secured according to GLP regulations. - Sub-filling sample containers adhering to all HSE, SDS, and site safety policies. Applying FIFRA research sample labels and stickers according to process orders. Scanning samples into inventory and completing process orders. - Identifying questionable test substances based on appearance and consulting Sample Logistics manager. - Maintaining, updating, and archiving Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for the Sample Logistics Inventory. Retrieving SDS from Global QHSE database, other Ag manufacturers/suppliers' databases. - Maintaining bulk inventory with appropriate labels, scanning to physical location, and placing containers on appropriated shelves. - Assisting in ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies in their designated areas for the Sample Logistics team. - Assisting the sample logistics team with other duties as requested. - Completing all Bayer trainings including IATA and DOT trainings. - Reporting to and notifying the Sample Logistics designated person of any discrepancies with orders, computer/application problems, or other issues that may arise with the samples process. Skills - Knowledge of working with pesticides and laboratory experience. - Experience working with balances/scales and excellent math skills. - Knowledge/experience in understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS). - Bar code scanning knowledge. - Ability to handle work at a fast pace. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Qualifications Education Requirement(s): - Associate degree or its equivalent with 0–3 years of related experience - Preferred Degree in a Science field Preferences: - Ability to work in a team environment - High level of integrity - Self-motivated, flexible, adaptable to change This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to contribute significantly within a global organization while gaining valuable experience in sample logistics management within a dynamic industry.
