Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns in a hospital setting. Monitor and assess the health of mothers and babies post-delivery. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety. Educate new parents on infant care and postpartum recovery. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records for continuity of care. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Participate in continuous professional development and training programs. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services. Manage time efficiently to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment. Utilize performance metrics to improve personal and team effectiveness. Support a culture of learning and growth within the nursing team. Experience / Qualifications
Current RN license in Texas with specialization in maternal and newborn care. Minimum 2 years of experience in maternal-newborn nursing in a hospital setting. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams. Ability to educate new parents on infant care and postpartum recovery. Proficiency in maintaining accurate and detailed patient records. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Commitment to continuous professional development and participation in training programs. Experience in engaging in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
