Job Summary The CARDIAC CATH LAB at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a critical part of the Cardiac Service Line of Excellence.
As a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.
You will independently operate all ancillary equipment—including IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser, and angiojet—while maintaining strict radiation safety practices and sterile technique.
Responsibilities
Perform high‑quality diagnostic imaging for cardiovascular patients.
Use the lab’s specialized equipment and demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing techniques for all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Operate and troubleshoot equipment, calibrate and maintain radiology devices to prevent failures.
Assist physicians in performing interventional procedures such as pacemakers, AICDs, and electrophysiology (TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO).
Apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
Position patients accurately and capture clear imaging results for timely diagnosis.
Maintain radiation safety standards and protect patients, staff, and external customers.
Qualifications Education and Experience
Two (2) years of current Radiology Technologist experience with hands‑on scrub and interventional experience.
Completion of an approved JRCERT Radiologic Technologist Program.
Licensure
Current Radiology License (CRT).
Current Arizona State License (MRTBE).
Current American Heart Association ACLS (preferred) and BLS certifications.
