Performs sonographic procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner. Provides patient education in written material and/or verbal explanation prior to, during and after the procedure to reduce patient anxiety and improve comfort. Produces examinations that meet image quality standards in accordance with department protocols. Submits images for physician interpretation. Verifies accuracy of patient demographic information, pertinent clinical diagnosis, and required technical results. Data must be entered accurately and in a timely fashion to provide optimal patient care. Verifies all technical data entry components are complete prior to the end of shift. Monitors stock of supplies in imaging rooms to ensure regular availability by timely reordering and maintaining a clean environment. Reports incidences of equipment failure. Actively supports organizational changes and participates in multidisciplinary patient care teams to achieve positive outcomes. Adheres to institutional safety procedures and maintains a customer service focus of innovation, service excellence, and teamwork. Qualifications
Education and/or Certification/Licensure: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography with 1-3 years work experience. American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification is mandatory. RDMS (Breast) required. Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification required. Must be flexible in covering different locations. Experience
1-3 years of Ultrasound Experience The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $35.25-$52.90, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
