School-Based Speech Language Pathologist

As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Location & Hours
Start: now in the Goose Creek area Hours per week: 4 days (may go to full-time) Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence‑based interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills. Collaborate with educators, parents, and team members to implement classroom and social activity supports. Monitor and document progress, adapting plans to ensure optimal outcomes. Offer guidance to parents, teachers, and staff on strategies to enhance communication skills. Maintain accurate records, session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation. Stay current with research, best practices, and techniques in speech‑language pathology. Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards. Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. South Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA. Experience in pediatric or school‑based speech‑language pathology is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, parents, and educators. Excellent organizational skills and caseload management.
