Position Title: Behavioral Health Specialist 2 - Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) – Part-Time, Full-Time, or Temp Agency: Oregon Youth Authority Location: Burns, Oregon - Eastern Oregon Youth Correctional Facility Salary Range: $6,420.00 - $8,967.00 Position Type: Employee Do you have a passion for providing counseling and guidance services to youth? Join the Eastern Oregon Youth Correctional Facility as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)! Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive mental and behavioral health treatment and services to youth within the assigned living unit. Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including contracted psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs), or psychologists, to create and maintain a supportive treatment environment. Foster a dynamic atmosphere that promotes growth, responsibility, healthy habits, productive lifestyles, and socially acceptable behavior among youth. Provide strong leadership within the assigned living unit in collaboration with the Living Unit Manager (LUM) and the unit Case Coordinator (CC). Implement and sustain evidence-based interventions within a group living setting. Qualifications

What We Are Looking For: Either a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or occupational therapy and licensure in Oregon with three years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, recreational/art/music therapy, or behavioral health science with two years of related experience. Special Qualifications: Driver's license is required; driving is an essential function. Pre-employment driving record checks will be conducted. Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional at the time of application. Additional Information

Working Conditions

All OYA locations are tobacco-free. Counseling and casework management occur in a group living milieu; potential for managing dangerous or hostile behavior. Daily contact with adjudicated youth; may require enforcing rules and restraining youth during crises. Possibility of hostage situations; recall during facility emergencies; weekend/holiday/evening work may be required. Travel to other OYA locations or trainings; exposure to communicable diseases; use of infection-control practices. How to Apply
