This role involves working closely with veterinarians and other staff members to ensure the health and well-being of animals in our care. Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostics Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively Provide nursing care, including wound management and bandaging Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health maintenance Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment Qualifications
Kennel experience for effective animal handling Knowledge of animal husbandry principles for optimal care Experience in veterinary critical care situations Laboratory experience for conducting tests and analyses General veterinary experience with various animal species Strong animal handling abilities for different temperaments and sizes Understanding of veterinary terminology for effective communication Knowledge of animal physiology to assess health conditions accurately Previous veterinary technician experience is highly desirable Skills in animal catheterization for medical procedures Proficiency in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for staff and animals alike Solid understanding of animal anatomy for surgical assistance Experience in pet care practices to promote overall health Strong background in aseptic technique to prevent infections during procedures Familiarity with X-ray equipment and procedures Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Benefits
