Responsibilities
Assist with labor and delivery, high risk antepartum, vaginal delivery, Cesarean section, and postpartum care as applicable.
Provide intrapartum care including fetal monitoring (EFM), NST, OCT, APGAR scoring, newborn assessment, and newborn care as part of couplet care.
Manage sterile exams, cervical checks, sterile vaginal exams, epidural anesthesia management, anesthesia-related duties, and pain assessment/ management.
Administer medications and blood products, manage IVs and IV pumps, and monitor maternal/fetal status for abnormalities.
Prepare and assist with operative delivery (C-section) and postpartum hemorrhage management.
Perform radiant warmer and thermoregulation care, newborn identification and cord care, and education on infant care (breastfeeding support, car seat education, etc.).
Document and communicate patient status, participate in infection control and PPE measures, and adhere to isolation precautions as required.
Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality obstetric care and patient experience.
Qualifications
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, FHM
Required Skills: Facility births/month >300, Labor and Delivery, High Risk Antepartum, Sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), NST, OCT, reflex checks/edema assessment/clonus, sterile vaginal exam, use of external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement/calibration, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, administration of blood and blood products, venous access and IV starts, infusion pumps, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, oxytocin, prostaglandins, terbutaline, amnioinfusion, support for high-risk delivery and vaginal delivery, operative delivery assistance, C-section circulation, obstetric emergency care, episiotomy/incisional care, postpartum and newborn care, lactation support, epidural/general anesthesia, pain management, documentation and charting.

Pay: $2,241/week - $2,434/week
Assignment Length: 13-week assignment
Shift: 3, 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:30)
Experience: At least one year of experience required
