Pay Range: $25.50 - $32.70 per hour.

Responsibilities A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation and care of patients with various physical, mental, or emotional conditions.
Patient Care Execution:
Under the supervision of an occupational therapist, execute therapeutic plans, teach patients how to use adaptive equipment, guide them through exercises, and engage them in activities essential to their recovery and improvement.
Activity and Program Planning:
Contribute to the planning and selection of therapeutic activities tailored to each patient’s needs and interests. Understand therapeutic goals set by the occupational therapist and apply creative and practical approaches to meet those objectives.
Progress Monitoring:
Regularly monitor and document patient progress, observe changes in performance and behavior, report observations to the occupational therapist, and adjust interventions accordingly.
Patient and Family Education:
Educate patients and family members about the therapy process, use of adaptive equipment, and home modifications to support long‑term recovery and independence.
Qualifications
Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current license/certification in the state of practice.
