Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Construction Surveyor. The Surveyor will work closely with and support the operations team, interact with staff at all levels, and remain flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position is located in Leonard, Texas. Responsibilities
Provide surveying services, which include construction survey and layout on bridges, highways, foundations, and other related heavy civil projects. Assist with survey computations and data collection including construction layout calculations, grade sheet computation, topographical/volume analysis, and project data conversion/transformation. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and as-built surveys. Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain. Conduct plan research and review. Perform fieldwork associated with land surveying. Conduct business with 100% integrity and professionalism. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with land surveying. Field work experience a must. Experience must show current proficiency operating a robotic tool station, GPS, and level. AutoCAD experience required. Knowledge of geological description principles and methods. Knowledge of applicable laws, legal codes, and government regulation. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently. Valid Driver’s License required, and candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Report background check. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
