Overview We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I.
The Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X‑ray procedures. This involves operating X‑ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high‑quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.
This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Shift’s Available: Variable. Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN). Hours: Variable. Location: St. Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO.

Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring that X‑ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed.
Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X‑ray examinations.
Maintain accurate records of X‑ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history.
Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.
Operate radiographic equipment to produce high‑quality images.
Maintain BCLS accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Qualifications
Licensure as required by State.
Appropriate national certifications in one modality.
Current BLS (AHA).
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient computer skills.
Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus
One year of Acute Clinical Radiography.
