Now Hiring: Phlebotomist I – South Richmond Hill, NY 11419 (Full-Time, Onsite) Contract - 3+ months
Schedule: Sun–Fri 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; Alternate Sat 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17-$21/hr
Join one of the most respected names in diagnostics! We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist I to provide excellent patient care and accurate specimen collection at our Patient Service Center in South Richmond Hill, NY.
Key Responsibilities
Represent the face of the company to patients during visits for routine health or life-defining health decisions
Perform quality blood draws on patients of all ages – pediatrics through geriatrics
Handle forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures
Prepare specimens for lab testing ensuring accuracy and proper labeling
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment
Maintain required records and documentation timely and accurately
Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and sensitivity to patient confidentiality
Work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
Minimum 6 months experience; 1+ years preferred in phlebotomy
Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric draws
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)
Customer service experience preferred
Keyboard/data entry skills required
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Reliable transportation is a must. This position is covering an employee on FMLA.
