Position: Physician and Surgeon, CF (Internal Medicine/Family Practice) Location: Pleasant Valley State Prison, Coalinga, CA Type: Full-time, Mid-Senior level Salary: $320,000.00-$380,000.00 annually (additional pay differential of 15% for employees located within the correctional facility) Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Chief Physician & Surgeon, the Physician & Surgeon, CF (IM/FP), provides medical care to patients in a correctional setting. Responsibilities include performing medical assessments, providing treatment, offering clinical consultation, and instructing staff on medical protocols, adhering to professional standards of care. On-call duties are assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California, as determined by the Medical Board of California or the California Board of Osteopathic Examiners. Possession of a valid internal medicine or family medicine Medical or Osteopathic Specialty Certificate issued by an American Medical or Osteopathic Specialty Board, or eligibility for the specialty examination.
