Job Purpose

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Process analysis including time studies, detailed capacity analysis, man/machine analysis, line balancing and value-added content Identification and verification of under-utilized value streams and assets Identification and resolution of bottlenecks within processes Support short-term Capacity-Demand Analysis Facilitate Development of Plant Continuous Improvement Roadmap:

CI Activities CI Savings projects

Drive cost-savings initiatives Plant subject matter expert for Continuous Improvement (E.g.: Problem Solving, 5S, Standardized Work, Line Balance, SMED and VSM).

Develop and teach others. Promote cross functional teamwork. Facilitate and Lead Kaizens.

Determination/Classification of Core and Non-Core Processes/Products Partner with Operations Manager & Support Function Leaders. Management and administration of Detailed Asset Risk Assessment (DARA) Process Analyze and report on Capital Spending activities and trends Manage all aspects of Continuous Improvement/Dana Operating Systems (DOS) Monitor capital spending performance – short term & monthly Requirements

Industrial Engineering Degree or equivalent experience (5+ years) within a manufacturing engineering environment (similar or related bachelor’s degree). Must have proven experience in IE activities (E.g.: Time studies, development and optimization of the Standardized Work and capacity study). Must have Lean Manufacturing knowledge and practical experience. Hands-On/Shop Floor experience in an industrial environment. Strong problem-solving skills. Knowledge of plant manufacturing processes. Proficient with computer systems including, but not limited to MS Office (emphasis with Excel), PLM/PDM systems, A Cad etc. Strong self-starting and networking (interpersonal) skills. Experience in leading small groups of people to project completion. Analytical and thorough approach but focused on project completion and implementation. Strong analytical and systems orientation. Capital Management experience including budget preparation and management responsibilities.
