Maintenance Technician A (I) – Transdev, Atlanta, GA. Seeking an experienced A-Level Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across vehicles and equipment. The role supports safety, efficiency, and longevity of our diesel-powered assets. Benefits
Starting pay $32.42 with progression to $36.29 over 4 years. Vacation: up to 14 days per year. Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly for full-time employees; 5 hrs monthly for part-time employees. Medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees; life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays. Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine repairs on diesel engines. Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs. Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections. Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and develop comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines. Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians to develop their skills. Other duties as required. Qualifications
1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic. ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided. Mechanic’s Tool Set. Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 restricts Schedule I drugs, including cannabis. Physical Requirements
Work outside in varying temperatures and conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside, including work in remote locations. Sit for extended periods; walk long distances; navigate sloped, slippery, or uneven surfaces. Push/pull up to 20 pounds; lift up to 50 lbs; bend, kneel, or crouch as needed.
