At Epiroc USA LLC, our Parts and Services (PSD) Division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers’ productivity. We focus on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training. Field Service Technicians

provide thorough service support for technical problems, monitoring, testing, and demonstrations that minimize downtime, reduce costs or promote our product capabilities in a test or demo. This position requires displaying specialized expertise when troubleshooting, repairing and installing parts, as needed to maintain the equipment. Work should be performed with urgency while upholding Epiroc’s high quality standards. The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and occasional exposure to high places, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the risk of electrical shock. Work Location: Work Type: Responsibilities: Level 1: Regularly review and update personal tool inventory on a quarterly basis to maintain compliance with calibration and tool replacement protocols, and always maintain an accurate personal tool inventory Complete daily work assignments as requested from the customer or supervisor Ability to use basic analytical skills to thoroughly troubleshoot, identify problems and complete the repair of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems either by phone or on site Understand Company’s warranty policy and take initiative on processing warranty claim reports in the field Understand and adhere to Company safety and environmental requirements, including promoting and practicing proper safety procedures and correct use of PPE Maintain courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff at all times Level 2: In addition to Level 1 tasks, provide warranty support; evaluating and validating claims, discussing issues with Product Company, and submitting service reports to support claims Communicate service and other relevant activities to the Customer and the Service Manager through daily service reports or relevant forms, e-mail and telephone communication Be able to support varied activities, with simultaneous projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Level 3: In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, use specialized expertise to develop solutions customized to customer issues Rebuild various complete components to OEM specifications in service shop Ability to perform essential functions of the job on the various equipment types supporting all business line areas Serve as a subject matter expert for other service technicians, and assist with training and development Requirements: Level 1: Basic computer skills, familiarity with Epiroc equipment, mechanical aptitude, good work ethic, and ability to read basic hydraulic and 24-volt schematics Own hand tools and ability to expand on personal tool inventory by purchasing additional tools from the required tool list Complete TL1 and TL2 training and Safe Start Modules 1-5 within the first year Maintain required US DOT training certificates or complete the training programs needed to acquire them by date required by Manager Maintain a valid driver’s license; a good driving record is required; if operating a commercial vehicle, able to obtain a CDL for DOT purposes and maintain an active license; minimum driving age requirements apply Travel is required in this position Level 2: Minimum of a Certificate of Completion for a Technical or Trade School, or 2-5 years of relevant experience Complete TL1 and TL2 within 3-6 months of hire Level 3: Minimum of a Certificate of Completion for a Technical or Trade School, or 5+ years of relevant experience Complete TL1 and TL2 within 1 month of hire *Note: Level designation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, and ability to perform essential functions.
