Full Time | 0.9FTE | 36 Scheduled Weekly Hours. Varied Evening Hours | 9 Hour Shifts | 11AM-1AM Shift Timeframe. Every other weekend requirement (including call). Allie Bruss (402) 590-8878 | allang@nebraskamed.com Provide informational assistance to healthcare professionals and consumers about poison exposures. Orient and mentor new colleagues. Take clinical call regularly. Provide toxicology educational presentations. Complete assigned projects. Required Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant degree, or Bachelor’s in nursing/pharmacy with certification as a poison information specialist (CSPI) and at least five years of poison center experience unless qualifying for Exception B. Six months poison center clinical call experience for CSPI Registered Nurses. Thorough knowledge of clinical toxicology. Ability for prolonged mental concentration, effective communication, and complex math calculations. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and call shifts. Current Nebraska license as RN, Pharmacist, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. Certification as a CSPI, with maintenance required every seven years. Exception B details: Currently employed at Nebraska Medicine or eligible for rehire, hired before Nov 21, 2014, experience relevant to the role, and licensed as RN. Preferred Qualifications: Six or more years as a Certified Specialist in Poison Information. Experience leading or supervising a team. Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
