The Maintenance Mechanic I will support, maintain, and perform repairs and preventive maintenance within the facility and on specific equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic I will respond to calls to support production, inspect, troubleshoot, and ultimately prevent equipment failures within the Paso Robles facility. Essential Job duties and Responsibilities:

Perform repairs and maintenance tasks for the building and grounds. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and replacements for production equipment such as:

Tank service and insulation. Piping, heat trace, and insulation systems. Valve replacement and rebuilds. Mixers/agitators/pumps/compressors. Air compressors/chillers/boiler systems. Pumps, hoses, lances. Forklifts, aerial lifts. Seals, gaskets, and O-rings.

Perform maintenance and repairs within the building. Maintain general housekeeping and facility 5S standards. Assist in water treatment as needed. Observe compliance with maintenance contractors on-site and provide escort and documentation of observations Fulfill all assigned work orders, work permits, and inspection documentation accurately. Report any findings or failures to management. Participate in inventory and recordkeeping. Participate in computer-based training. Electrical troubleshooting. PLC programming. Repair machine guards and safeties. Follow Q7 GMP guidelines, SOPs, and other stated requirements for handling active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Perform other duties as required and directed by the Maintenance Lead and/or Management. Qualifications:

Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years technical degree and/or industrial maintenance experience preferred. Ability to work safely, independently, and around others by following all required procedures. Must exhibit strong organizational skills and be self-motivated. Must follow departmental practices and procedures. Must have strong interpersonal communication skills both oral and written. Ability to read drawings, service manuals, and blueprints. Understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and World Class Manufacturing processes. Trade skills; millwright and piping. Strong mechanical skills; able to use a variety of hand and power tools. Welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrician trade skills are considered a plus. Pump laser alignment and rotary equipment rebuilding experience are considered a plus. Flexibility with work duties and schedule, and to be available to work an on-call shift. Maintain effective and professional relationships with executives, staff, customers, vendors, and governmental agencies. Access to and maintenance of confidential and sensitive information. Must undergo and meet company standards for background checks, drug testing, and behavioral assessments. Employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. Ability to verbally communicate both in person and via telephone. Ability to utilize various office equipment, including computer, telephone, and copy machine. Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
