Heavy Truck and Equipment Mechanic
Transdev in Bel Air, MD is seeking an experienced Heavy Truck and Equipment Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and construction equipment. As a Heavy Truck and Equipment Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality
Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow
Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance
Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications
Other duties as required
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic with trucks and/or heavy construction equipment
ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided with willingness to participate
Mechanic’s Tool Set
Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) preferred
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
Physical Requirements The essential functions of this position require the ability to push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
