Pay Rate: $80,000- $95,000 (based on licensure and years of experience)
Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor The
Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor assists the Director of Nursing; plans, develops, organizes and coordinates day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
Major Duties and Critical Tasks:
Plans, develops, organizes, implements,and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.
Ensures compliance with currentapplicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies andprocedures.
Reviews complaints and grievances made orfiled by staff. Makes appropriatereports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary.
Ensures an adequate stock of medications,medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit toadequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel ofneeds.
Assists in the development of writtenpreliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of eachresident.
Makes nursing/aide assignments asindicated.
Encourages staff to attend andparticipate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate.
Education and Experience:
A nursing degree from an accreditedcollege or university.
Minimum of two (2) years of experienceproviding direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings asan
Minimum one (1) year of experience as anursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting
Current CPR Certification.
Must also meet state requirements forrelevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effectagainst professional license.
