Medical Assistant - Primary Care Lakeview Full time Days $2000 sign on bonus Salary range for this position is $20.25 - $26.33 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on relevant work experience and internal equity. Assures efficient patient flow through the site: escorts patient to exam room, identifies patient with two identifiers, prepares patient for examination, obtains accurate vital signs, documents reason for visit and updates allergies and pharmacy information, promptly informs the provider and RN of significant changes, anticipates/sets up equipment or supplies, cleans and prepares exam rooms, and responds to needs to maintain patient flow. Assists practitioner with medical and surgical procedures (ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, setting up procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing as directed). Provides high quality care: stocks exam rooms, disinfects and sterilizes equipment, participates in environmental safety rounds, maintains inventory, monitors equipment, orders supplies, and follows opening/closing procedures. Functions as part of the patient care team, promoting patient satisfaction and maintaining confidentiality; communicates effectively with patients and the care team. Performs delegated procedures common to the specialty area (see specialty practice addendum). Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. Qualifications

Required:

Candidate must have written proof of eligibility for one of the five eligible certification exams (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, NRCMA). Accepted documentation: for new MA graduates within 6 months, a letter from the school or certifying body; for non-certified MAs or graduates past 6 months, a letter from the certifying body. Within first six months of employment, complete one of the following certifications after up to two test attempts: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), CCMA (NHA), or NRCMA (NAHP). High school diploma or GED; American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification; onboarding acknowledgment that certification must be attained within 6 months; strong computer skills. Preferred:

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program. One to two years of ambulatory care experience. Experience with electronic medical record systems. Benefits
