Laboratory Technician I – 2nd Shift at RQ Construction, LLC
Responsibilities
Analyze designated lines and perform AA analyses as scheduled (daily) and collect samples from lines (daily).
Conduct wet analysis of plating tanks, cleaners, acids, and topcoats (daily) and enter analysis data into Zinc‑It (daily).
Monitor SPC charts and report trend data as needed.
Calibrate pH meters as scheduled and complete scheduled maintenance requests on time.
Analyze additional RMF facility samples as needed.
Refill titrant containers, DI water, etc.; audit buffers and reagents at Conestee and McDougal.
Prepare chemical dump sheets/add sheets on Fridays and record any weekend chemical additions or tank dumps.
Maintain and audit chemical inventories for Labs 1 & 2, waste treatment, and process chemicals.
Provide daily additions to the chemical handler and collaborate as required.
Verify autofeed pump operation and enter data into Zinc‑It (daily/weekly).
Perform miscellaneous lab and plant operations daily as directed.
Ensure buffers and reagents are current and not expired.
Maintain housekeeping standards in laboratories and chemical addition areas.
Support waste treatment and hazardous waste management operations—check metals and chrome as required.
Report accidents or safety issues to upper management promptly.
Follow RMF safety procedures and company policies (RMF Handbook)."
Participate in monthly Vital Signs meetings.
Backup HWMOA support and training as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in a laboratory environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
Computer proficiency, familiarity with Zinc‑It, conversion from US to metric systems.
Workplace Requirements:
Proper PPE, gloves, safety glasses or shield, lab coat as needed.
Training:
Completed Chemical Handler training.
Compliance Standards:
ReWa, DHEC, TS 16949, ISO 14001.
Key Measurables:
MBO goals, Vital Signs (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Service/Safety), 5S audits, safety audits, process audits, training, attendance, suggestions (6 per year), safety, and disciplinary records.
