Sign-on and relocation are offered for this Multi-Modality Respiratory Care Practitioner position. The role applies fundamental techniques of respiratory therapy to patients in a variety of health care settings. Able to perform basic respiratory care procedures on newborns, pediatrics, and adults. The Respiratory Care Practitioner CRT assists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with pulmonary disorders such as asthma, COPD, collapsed lungs, and pneumonia. May collect blood samples, conduct tests, measure lung capacities, and determine gas levels (e.g., oxygen and carbon dioxide) within patients\' lungs. Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT

The Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner will have at least one specialty credential such as Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS), Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT), or Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS). Responsibilities Patient Care: Performs ABG punctures according to policy; manages pharmacological therapies and monitors effectiveness; records vital signs including breath sounds, ventilator status, mental status, and response to treatment; identifies patient and verifies orders before administration of any treatment or respiratory care; sets ventilator parameters according to established patient protocol and doctors’ orders; performs/assists in placing E.T. tubes with minimal trauma. Equipment Care: Assembles, disassembles, operates, maintains, troubleshoots, cleans, and performs minor repairs on equipment; educates patients on prescribed therapies prior to discharge and documents patient understanding. Administrative: Completes all billing paperwork; demonstrates timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, EMR entries, and patient responses. Compliance/Safety: Reports safety incidents; attends safety trainings; performs work safely; monitors for safety issues and ensures others do the same; adheres to regulatory and organizational standards; keeps certifications/licenses up-to-date; stays current with state/federal regulations and company policies; completes mandatory modules and job-specific training on time. Qualifications Education Associates Degree from an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program – Required Certification & Licensures Licensed by the Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners – Required National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Required One specialty credential: ACCS, RPFT, NPS, Certified Asthma, Pulmonary Disease Educator Certification, or AHA Certified Instructor – Required BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required NRP – Required within 90 days from date of hire or when providing care in a special care nursery Employee will obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their departmental leader.
