Responsibilities
As an Interventional Vascular Technologist, you will provide technical assistance in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Some of your responsibilities will include acquiring images, processing images and providing emergency on call assistance. Utilize sterile or aseptic technique to scrub in and perform vascular, interventional, and surgical procedures per protocol. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Ensure patient safety and comfort during and after exams. Record and maintain procedural data to include injection data, elapsed fluoroscopic time and procedural information. Monitor equipment, systems, clean equipment, and arrange timely repairs. Learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology; Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing; Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist; Basic Life Support certification. Preferred qualifications: One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist; Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment; Knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic exams; Knowledgeable of sterile technique with ability to create and maintain sterile environment; Ability to function well with minimal to no supervision, especially during after hours call-in emergency service. Additional Details
Physical Requirements: Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
