We are seeking a full-time mission‑driven Clinician to join our Adult Substance Use Disorder (SUD) team in Bloomington, Illinois. This leadership‑level position plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use, guiding them toward recovery through trauma‑informed, evidence‑based care. The Clinician also serves as a mentor and supervisor to interns and less experienced staff, helping to shape the future of behavioral health services. Responsibilities

Conduct diagnostic and assessment evaluations with clients and families, including bio‑psychosocial reports Plan and implement individualized treatment plans and continuing care strategies Facilitate admissions, discharges, and development of Master Treatment Plans Provide individual, family, and group counseling using advanced therapy skills Lead educational and skills‑based groups Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Collaborate with external partners such as probation officers, psychiatrists, and family members Provide court testimony when requested Supervise interns and support onboarding of new clinicians Serve as a clinical mentor and informal advisor to peers Demonstrate leadership and project management capabilities Provide clinical supervision for LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT licensure Participate in staff meetings, development activities, and uphold Chestnut’s customer service standards Maintain confidentiality and security of all organizational and client information Qualifications

Master’s degree in a human services field Active licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and insurability (when applicable) Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and EMRs Chestnut Health Systems is a leader in the effort to achieve health equity, providing high‑quality health and human services in underserved communities. The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $54,000 - $61,000 annual salary. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job‑related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
