The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients following AdventHealth service standards. This includes greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, and collecting financial and demographic information. Assist providers during treatment and examination, and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Perform office duties as needed, including verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling necessary appointments. Ensure efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system. Maintain OSHA regulatory compliance and other office safety processes and policies. Travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations. Stay up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Maintain education requirements for the position and demonstrate competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Grad or Equiv Active American Heart Association BLS Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- CMA-AAMA, or AMCA, or AMT, or NCMA, or NHA, or NRCMA (as applicable) Preferred qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program 1+ year of practical medical assisting experience Qualifications note:
