This role involves repairing, installing, and moving furniture, appliances, and interior design pieces to ensure a welcoming atmosphere for our coworking community. We are looking for someone who may be in school, retired, or seeking a side hustle, as hours are flexible and depend on maintenance tickets submitted by the community team, most of which are non-emergency. Major Responsibilities: Patching and painting drywall Paint touch-ups Fixing furniture Hanging whiteboards and TVs Fixing or installing appliances Moving office panels and desks Hanging art Fixing door locks Moving furniture and assisting in event setup/teardown Scheduled preventative maintenance (HVAC filters, water filters) Maintaining inventory of stored items Scheduling and managing temporary staff, contractors, and vendors Managing relationships and negotiating preferred pricing/bids Coordinating approved capital projects as directed Ensuring compliance with warranties and regulations Ideal Experience and Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills Integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, and empathy Passion and understanding of Kiln’s mission and values Basic understanding of preventative maintenance and property repair Ability to identify issues proactively Self-starter with a critical eye for what needs to be done
