Position: RN-PACU-Post Anesthetic Care Unit (Travel/Contract)

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit.

Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress post‑anesthesia.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Educate patients and families on post‑operative care and recovery.

Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.

Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.

Support a positive team environment focused on achieving targets.

Engage in performance measurement and improvement initiatives.

Experience/Qualifications

Current RN license in Vermont or compact state.

Eagerness to adapt and evolve in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or similar settings.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

Willingness to engage in performance measurement initiatives.

Ability to monitor and interpret vital signs effectively.

Strong communication skills for patient and family education.

Ability to collaborate effectively with surgical and medical teams.

Familiarity with safety protocols and infection control measures.

Proficiency in documenting patient care activities accurately.
