Penn Medicine Clinician Job Description Summary
Provides health care services on a full-time or part-time basis in an owned or affiliated health care entity of Penn Medicine or The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Provides inpatient hospital services as required and fulfills medico-administrative duties associated with membership on hospital medical staff. May participate in a minimum of 50 hours per year of teaching or equivalent service. Maintains license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania or location of affiliates, if applicable. The Pediatric Urgent Care Physician will work in a CHOP Urgent Care location to evaluate, treat and manage patients from birth to age 21. The physician documents medical findings in an electronic medical record (Epic), supports patients, families and colleagues, and collaborates with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff and hospital administration. This position may require working evenings, weekends and holidays. Compliance with applicable standards and requirements including HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission, DOH is expected. Job Description

Evaluate, treat and manage pediatric patients in an Urgent Care setting, including documenting medical findings, treatment plans and follow-up care Attend meetings and participate/lead lectures, simulations and other required training and education Teach medical students, residents, and fellows Other duties as assigned Direct clinical activities including procedures such as suturing, foreign body removal, and simple incision and drainage Evaluate, treat and manage patients in a Pediatric Urgent Care setting Review current pediatric standards of care and work with leadership to implement new processes; respond to clinical alerts; ensure timely completion of electronic medical record and related correspondence; participate in departmental CME and simulation activities Working Conditions
