The Parts Manager aims to achieve satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory through proper purchasing, inventory control, staff management, security, pricing, merchandising, display, and advertising. Responsibilities include: Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them. Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff. Prepare and administer the annual operating budget for the parts department. Maintain a balanced inventory aligned with the needs of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and DIY customers. Establish pricing parameters for each customer category to generate sufficient gross profit and ensure customer loyalty. Set individual parts inventory levels for maximum turnover and ensure inventory turns. Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence. Ensure all parts are properly tagged for full credit recovery from the factory. Set policies on special ordering of parts. Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to meet profit goals. Lead outside parts and counter sales efforts, including telemarketing programs. Develop sales promotions and utilize manufacturer co-op advertising. Develop and enforce guidelines for customer interactions to maximize satisfaction. Handle customer complaints promptly and according to dealership policies. Ensure proper accounting of all dealership purchases before payment. Assist in collecting past-due accounts. Supervise custodians to maintain a clean work area. Enforce safety requirements, including forklift training, MSDS processing, and OSHA regulations. Stay informed of and comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain a professional appearance. Follow all safety policies and report accidents immediately. Qualifications

Authorized to work in the USA. Ability to perform duties safely. Pass pre-employment checks including background, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and understand instructions and information. At least one year of supervisory experience. Experience in an automotive parts department.
