Heavy Equipment Mechanic job at Dobson Fiber. Newalla, OK. Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain and repair telecommunications construction equipment including, horizontal bore machines, air compressors, excavators, trailers, vacuum machines, mixers and telecommunication plows. Inspect, maintain, and repair vehicle-mounted equipment, including aerial lifts, winches, and booms. Ensure all equipment complies with industry safety standards. Diagnose and repair mechanical (gas & diesel), electrical, and hydraulic issues in telecommunications vehicles, including bucket trucks, service vans/trucks, and cable splicing trailers. Perform engine, transmission, tire, and brake repairs on fleet vehicles. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they affect operations. Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed, including parts used and work performed. Ensure compliance with state and federal safety regulations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
ASE Certification Preferred. 5 years of heavy equipment repair. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software specific to heavy-duty and specialized vehicles. Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on telecommunications vehicles. Familiarity maintaining gas or diesel engines. Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in varying conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks.
