Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman 1st shift position!
Responsibilities General Summary:
Responsible for the maintenance activities of buildings and all plant equipment.
Essential Functions
Repair CNC mills, CNC lathes, and all other process equipment (balancers, polishers, broaches, etc) as needed to keep operation running
Complete minor maintenance work around the facility as needed
Coordinate outside vendors as needed to help with repairs
Efficient utilization of human and mechanical resources
Maintain and ensure preventative maintenance program is followed
Organize and maintain efficient parts inventory using computer database system
Follow safe work practices
Work closely with all employees in progressively improving the workplace and maintaining safety features on machines and plant structures
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Ensure that the operations runs smoothly and safely with regards to all machinery and equipment. Has the authority to shut down any machinery or equipment that is running in an unsafe manner
Duties may include adjusting Gibbs, replacing ball screws, and replacing spindle bearings
Experience Required
5-7 years of maintenance experience/education
Education, Training & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required
Maintenance Technician Certification, preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively organize multiple tasks
Specific knowledge of machining practices and principles (CNC lathes, mills, and Fanuc robots)
Specific knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical items
