Sign Production Specialist / Print Operator

FASTSIGNS of Hilliard is hiring a
skilled and reliable sign production professional
to operate our
print and finishing equipment ,
batch and schedule jobs , and
manage multiple projects under deadline —all while maintaining high production quality and efficiency.
The ideal candidate is
hands-on, organized , and highly proficient with
wide-format printing , including
flatbed and roll-to-roll printers . If you’ve worked in print or sign production and enjoy
solving problems, staying organized, and taking ownership of your work , this could be your next step.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain the following equipment:
Epson SureColor V7000 UV Flatbed Printer Epson SureColor S60600 Roll-to-Roll Printer Kala Mistral 1650 Laminator Mimaki CG-160 FXII Plotter
Batch and schedule jobs using the production board Execute finishing tasks including laminating, weeding, cutting, and mounting Perform quality control checks throughout production Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production space Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance Support install prep and assist with light installations as needed Work closely with the team to meet job deadlines and client expectations Stay adaptable and open to learning new production methods and tools Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience
in print, signage, or related production environments Demonstrated experience with large-format printers, especially flatbed and roll-to-roll Ability to read and interpret job orders and production layouts Strong multitasking and time management skills Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate production tools Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive Preferred but Not Required
Experience with RIP software (Onyx, Flexi, or similar) Familiarity with sign materials, vinyl graphics, and application techniques Background in commercial print, sign shop, or large-format production Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills What We Offer
