The Clinical Laboratory Assistant I is responsible for a variety of clinical and clerical functions to support the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Laboratory depending on the shift and facility location. Clinical duties include specimen verification and processing, phlebotomy, sample tracking including the cancellation and crediting of laboratory tests, and processing of send out testing. Clerical duties include phone reception, printing and distributing reports, operation of office equipment such as fax machines, copy machines, and printers, in addition to basic computer skills in the Laboratory information system. Educational Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent — Required GED — Required Program of Study — Required/Preferred Experience Requirements Phlebotomy — Required State of Florida Licensure Requirements Licenses — Not Required Certifications/Registration Requirements Phlebotomy Certification/Registration — Required/Preferred Additional Requirements Good communication and interpersonal skills required. Excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task, problem solve, and work independently. Basic knowledge of computer, data entry and retrieval. Location note:
