Overview
VCA Sheeler Road Animal Hospital
is a full‑service, AAHA‑accredited veterinary hospital located in Apopka, FL, located just northwest of Orlando. The hospital offers care for dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, and reptiles. We hire a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, VA, or experienced veterinary assistant) to join our General Practice team full time.
Responsibilities
Anesthesia monitoring
Collecting patient histories and performing physical exams
Venipuncture and IVC placement
Assist with a Hands‑Free Radiology program
Collaborate with team members across all hospital services
Provide compassionate care for all patients
Schedule & Work Hours Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, closed on Sundays. Work‑life balance is a top priority and we are open to discussing availability.
Compensation $17 – $22 per hour, based on skill set, experience, and licensure status (VA, CVT).

Qualifications & Expectations • Licensed veterinary technician (CVT, VA) or experienced veterinary assistant. • Positive, motivated, and adaptable to a collaborative team environment. • Willingness to provide developmental training to new or experienced staff. • Strong commitment to the humane treatment of animals and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
