Overview

Location: 3100 East Fletcher Avenue Tampa, Florida 33613. Schedule: Full-time. Shift: Nights. The community you\'ll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa. AdventHealth Tampa is a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed acute care hospital offering services in cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery. GME programs on the hospital campus include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year. The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute leads clinical and academic research in neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, and more. The Respiratory Therapist II role contributes to patient care across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations, working independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities

Performs routine respiratory care procedures for acute or critically ill patients across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations. Initiates and maintains appropriate therapy, including life support techniques and equipment. Provides respiratory care interventions in accordance with hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Interacts with staff, patients, and families of all ages in a respectful, professional manner. Maintains competency in applicable advanced clinical skills and participates in customer service excellence. Adheres to AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and local, state, and federal regulations. Responds to Code Blue emergencies and provides CPR according to American Heart Association guidelines. Performs airway maintenance and related procedures (e.g., airway suctioning, extubation, bronchoscopy assistance) and procedural respiratory support. Assesses therapy efficacy using patient evaluation, protocols, chart review, and multidisciplinary collaboration; recommends changes per department protocol. Documents and bills procedures accurately to meet department and hospital standards. Qualifications

Graduate from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program; an AAS or AS is required. Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required. Minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care setting. Current Florida State License as an RRT/Registered Respiratory Therapist. Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Benefits
