SCHOOL BASED THERAPISTS

Job Summary: In this role, you will provide individual, group, family, and practical counseling services to support student well-being and foster academic success. Your responsibilities include establishing a caseload, coordinating with supervisory staff, and delivering prevention, intervention, and support services. You will collaborate with school counselors and act as a liaison to ensure comprehensive care and access to community resources. Key Responsibilities: Individualized Counseling:
Provide personalized counseling to meet students’ needs. Services are offered at the school site during operating hours. Caseload Management:
Establish a caseload aligned with supervisory guidelines, ensuring efficient coordination and management of cases. Academic Success Support:
Offer prevention, intervention, and support services to identified students to reduce barriers to academic achievement. Collaborative Treatment Planning:
Participate in staffing to identify issues and establish treatment goals and objectives, adhering to Burrell guidelines. Manage assigned cases and ensure effective treatment plans. Emergency Response:
Contribute to emergency services by providing swift support during emotional crises. Comprehensive Follow-Up:
Provide or coordinate thorough follow-up services for all clients under care. Community Resource Coordination:
Collaborate with school counselors to coordinate student support and access to community resources. Clinical Assessment and Intervention:
Conduct assessments and interventions for students and families at the school site during operating hours. Liaison Role:
Serve as a liaison to ensure services reach all family members and coordinate care seamlessly. Qualifications: Master’s degree in a licensure-eligible field (Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work). Actively licensed as (or on track to become licensed as): Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Preferred (but not required) experience in family, individual, and group therapy, and community education. Additional Qualifications / Requirements: Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Preferred experience in providing family, individual, and group therapy, and community education.
