Psychologist Department:
General Overhead General Description:
The licensed psychologist (or license-eligible psychologist) in the State of Oklahoma will provide care as part of our growing healthcare system and will be an essential part of the interdisciplinary team at OU Health by providing assessment, treatment, and consultation for individuals with behavioral health needs that may be associated with their health conditions. Responsibilities
Provide high-quality behavioral health services to patients with a variety of psychological and medical conditions within the OU Health system Provide consultation to other healthcare professionals regarding the psychological aspects of a patient’s mental health condition, medical condition, or hospitalization Attend and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in team rounds, didactics, and meetings Provide supervision to psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral residents May participate in a variety of academic opportunities, including clinical research and education of trainees in psychology and other medical disciplines Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
Education:
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Counseling or School Psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program. Experience:
Completion of a predoctoral, APA-accredited internship required. Specialized training in psychology, including a postdoctoral residency/fellowship required. 0 - 3 years’ experience, including postdoctoral training, required. Ranked as an Assistant Professor in Academic Setting. License/Certification/Registration:
Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Oklahoma required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Be eligible for faculty appointment at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Knowledge of evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation Interest in training/supervision of trainees in psychology and other disciplines Experience in research, program development, and/or quality improvement Additional Information
