Science Academy of New York Charter School is excited to announce the opening of a District Speech Language Pathologist for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Key Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication disorders in students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress Conduct individual and group therapy sessions Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and interventions Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs Provide guidance and resources to families to support communication development at home Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education services Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree preferred NYS Certification Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education What We Offer:
