The Role You'll Contribute The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients and follows AdventHealth service standards. Responsibilities include:
Greeting patients and obtaining clinical, financial, and demographic information.
Assisting providers during treatment and examination; supporting procedures and medication administration as ordered.
Performing office duties such as verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling necessary appointments.

Other duties as assigned.
Travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
Stay up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Maintain education requirements for the position and demonstrate competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.
Ensure efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system.
Maintain OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCMA, NHA, or NRCMA.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of practical medical assisting experience.
