Fee for Service Licensed Social Worker Positions Available in Queens and Brooklyn Pay: $25-$60 / hour. $500.00 Sign-On Bonus. Language Differential $5.00 extra per session. Locations include Jamaica Behavioral Health Clinic (Queens, NY 11432), Rockaway Behavioral Health Clinic (Far Rockaway, NY 11691), and Woodhaven Family Wellbeing Center (Woodhaven, NY 11421). Statement of the Job
The Agency embraces a fully integrated system of care. Staff assess clients holistically and connect them with internal and external services as needed, regardless of the entry point to the system. Under the direction of a designated Clinical Supervisor, the Fee for Service Licensed Social Worker provides direct service in the outpatient mental health programs. Services are delivered professionally and ethically, in line with best practice tenets. The Fee for Service Licensed Social Worker works as part of a treatment team, maintains mandated levels of service, participates in Agency meetings, and complies with Agency policies and procedures. Responsibilities include initial interviews, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapy with individuals, groups, and families. The role adheres to contract compliance, audit readiness, and all regulatory requirements, and works as part of a team to maintain the overall integrity and welfare of the Agency.
Responsibilities
Meet Agency requirements for qualitative and quantitative documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, intake assessments, correspondence, termination summaries, encounter forms, and other required documentation. Ensure referrals are made to appropriate internal and external services to meet consumer and family needs. Respond to referrals in a timely and professional manner and coordinate follow-up as needed. Provide direct service: conduct individual, family, marital, and group therapy as dictated by clinical need. Caseload size will be dependent on agreed schedule and hours worked. Monitor and coordinate psychiatrist psychopharmacology appointments. Coordinate physical, medical, and psychological needs for clients. Complete and submit all documentation required for Agency reimbursement within 24 hours of session. Maintain audit readiness and participate in supervision. Participate in Agency responses to serious incidents and attend staff trainings and planning meetings. Supervision with a consultant LCSW towards clinical licensure (not paid as Agency pays an external contractor). Up to 21 hours of CEU training (training paid by Agency; fee-for-service staff do not get paid for training time). Fee-for-service payment is based on delivery of a pre-approved face-to-face service, with required documentation certified by a supervisor prior to payment. Reimbursable face-to-face services may include additional tasks such as treatment plan revisions and documentation required for billing; these are included in the face-to-face rate and are not reimbursed beyond the session or evaluation rate.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work from a nationally accredited institution. Valid NYS LMSW required. Must obtain NPI prior to start date. Must obtain and maintain all licensure/certifications for which employee is eligible in NY State. Excellent time management, organizational, and computer skills; ability to evaluate and intervene in crisis situations; flexible; and excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingual Spanish or Creole speaking preferred but not required.
