Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN role at MEDICAL CITY DALLAS. This description reflects a position within HCA Healthcare’s Medical City Dallas facility. Responsibilities
Perform and document patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy. Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy. Assist with placement of artificial airways. Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation. Monitor patient response to therapy; notify the provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response. Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients. Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required. NBRC-RRT: Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT/RCP-State: Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner Certification Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date About the role and benefits
